His mind drifted to the Carnival -- he'd have to get back there, one of these days, just to see what he could claim as his own -- but he didn't mention it. He didn't particularly feel like dealing with whatever reaction his triumphant return drew from the 'family', and even beyond that, it felt a little campy and a little too much like a date, just like the movie she'd suggested. He may have been alright with kissing her, but dating? Even beyond the whole She Is Me thing, he didn't do dates. Not now, not ever.
