Peter is Arthur's son -- he doubts much harm will come to him, even if he's not entirely sure he believes the Petrelli patriarch's story about wanting his family close -- and Matt was promised to him. There might be some awkward family reunion beforehand, depending on whether or not Maury knows what's going to become of his son and if Arthur's the kind of man that'd let them say their goodbyes, but other than that, Matt should be safe, too. For now.
