"If it does correct itself, doesn't allow the anesthetic, then we don't have to do anything else. I can find another way." Somehow. "There may even be another area that it's better to take a sample from, and ideally...it would help if I could draw the sample when you're using at least one of your abilities, to see if there is a difference..."
He was asking a lot, he knew, but he honestly wasn't sure how else to get to the answers, and no matter his personal stake in it, he really did want the answers.
