Comment on this post. I will choose five userpics from your profile and you will explain what they mean and why you are using them. Post this along with your answers in your own journal so others can play along. Or, you know, you can pick five of mine and ask me about them. I'm not picky.

I think I mentioned once that all of Sylar's icons are keyworded with song lyrics. The ones for this one should i go forwards or backwards are from A Whisper by Coldplay. This icon is, well. If this were just a journal for Gabriel Gray, this would probably be the default icon. It's pretty neutral, as far as icons go. And for some reason it makes me think of Superman - like he's going to just pull off the glasses and be all, "Surprise! I have super powers!"

Keywords on this one are my angel on silver lines from Race the Dream by Kill Hannah. I have no idea what the tiny text says, though, but it doesn't really matter. This is the icon I tend to use when Sylar's watching Mohinder for any reason. Usually when he's being fascinated by the guy - mostly because he looks all, "Ooh. Suresh is shiny," in this icon - but pretty much any time he's watching or stalking him.

Keywords are didn't spend my life waiting for this which is actually a bastardization of lyrics from It Can't Come Quickly Enough by Scissor Sisters. Canon-wise, this is from the scene where his mother goes and hides from him, when he comes home. Use-wise, I don't think I've actually gotten to use this one, yet, since it's relatively new, but this is pretty much his defeated icon. For when he actually feels remorseful about something, like he did in terrifying his mother.

Keywords are who put that look in your eyes? from The Uninvited Guest by Dog Fashion Disco. The tiny text is actually the lyrics from that, too, repeated a couple of times, since the song itself is ridiculously short. And this icon is his Being Evil With His BFF icon. I think that pretty much sums it up.

The keywords for this one are the face in your dreams of glass from Zero by Smashing Pumpkins. And oh man do I love this icon. This one's from a cap from .07%, when Sylar attacks Peter when he shows up to see ceiling ninja!Mohinder, and I love that episode, too. But anyway. This is the icon I use when Sylar's using his telekinesis or talking about it, but isn't, say, threatening to take someone's scalp off. I have two Finger of Doom icons for that - this is more, "Hey, look! I can move things with my mind." I also have a tendancy to use this one when he's starting to get pissed off, because it's intimidating.

Like I told
changehistory, I keyword all of my icons by song lyric. This one is when did i hear this wind before? from To Myself I Turned by Lacuna Coil. I'm not sure exactly what episode this picture is from, but this is one the icons I use when Sylar's being thoughtful. Like if someone says something that makes him go, "Hrm," this would be the icon I use.

Keywords on this one are safe from pain and truth and choice from Counting Bodies Like Sheep by A Perfect Circle; tiny text on the icon are also lyrics from that. The cap itself is from S2, when Maya and Alejandro and Random Dude Who's Name I Don't Remember found Sylar laying in the middle of the road, barely conscious. This icon, I don't get a whole lot of use out of, but I tend to use it for when Sylar's down for the count, obviously, or for when he's hurt. And even if I don't get a lot of use out of this icon, it's one of my favorites, out of all the ones I've made myself. I have no idea why.

Keywords are came to rape me of my intellect from Machine Punch Through by Moist. I wonder how that song got on Sylar's playlist. :P Anyway. Despite the fact that this icon is from his stay with the Company, during S1, I put this icon to a lot of use. If I need an icon where he's glaring at someone, I use this one about half the time. If I need an icon where he's looking at someone over his shoulder, I use this one. Either way, though, it's not an icon with a happy connotation - it's a "WTF do you want," icon.

Keywords are straighten out this problem from Insanity by Oingo Boingo. I made this icon specifically to go with a prompt I wrote about the Wall of Onoes, so I've used it all of once. And that's probably all the use I'll really ever get out of it, but ... eh. It was just an icon I had to have, even beyond wanting it to use with the prompt.

Keywords for this one are tasted hatred and i want more from Velvet Cell by Gravenhurst. I'm pretty sure the cap used in this icon is from S1 - Parasite to be exact - but I'm not positive. I could be wrong. Either way, however, this icon is pretty much my, "Bwahahaha! I win!" icon. Both for how batshit he looks and for the smirk of a smile he's wearing. Give the man a moustache, he needs to be twirling it over whoever he's got tied to the train tracks, at the moment.

Keywords on this one are in the living years from The Living Years by Mike + the Mechanics. It's a cap of Gray and Sons from Six Months Ago and I'm actually disappointed with the way this one came out. It's pretty craptastic. But it also needed to be done, since a lot of Sylar's plotty stuff in one of the games he was in was taking place out of there. I don't get much use out of this one, but it's there if I need a location icon.

I keyword everything in song lyrics. This one's are i know i'll stay complete from Bitmap by Sinch. I'm fairly sure this icon is from Kindred, right after he kills Candice and finds he can't use her power. And I tend to use this icon either when Sylar's in pain, or when something he's doing has completely spiraled out of his control.

This one already got picked, too. D: But let me just say again, out of the few icons I've actually had the patience to make for this journal, this one is my favorite. I have no idea why.

Oh, man. One of my OOC icons. This ... there is such a long story behind this one. One of the other Adams I play with (
four_too_long) and I got started talking about plotty stuff for a game we're in, together. The conversation slowly degenerated from actual talk to the pups talking to the pups talking in macro. We both thought it was hysterical, and she decided she was going to draw out the macro scene. This one was one of the panels, and I laughed so hard at the LOL RAMONES on the shirt - which reminds me I need to redo this icon so you can see it better - I needed to make an OOC icon from it.

Keywords on this one are whatever you got i'll take back again from Whatever by Our Lady Peace. Pretty sure the cap this icon came from is from, um ... actually, I can't name the episode this is from. I fail as a Heroes fan. But anyway. This icon's pretty self-explanatory, I think. It's one of the two I Kill You With Telekinesis icons I have of him, so I use it for that. I also have a tendency to use it when he's threatening someone, too, just because it's intimidating.

Keywords are no connection to myself from Zero by the Smashing Pumpkins. And, err. If you haven't looked at the rest of my responses, I keyword everything in song lyrics, so! Anyway. I use this icon for a lot of reasons. It tends to be one of my catch-all icons. It works as a, "STFU," icon as well as a, "You're mildly amusing, even if I hate you," icon, and so on and so forth.

Keywords on this are lead with a microphone which is a really, really chopped up version of I could lead a nation with a microphone from Handlebars by the Flobots. And this is my shiny 5YG icon. I don't get as much use out of it as I'd like--which I weird, since I adore 5YGverse--but there you go.

Keywords? don't be aroused by my confession from Rev 22:20 by Puscifer. This is, well, exactly what I looks like. Shirtless!Sylar icon. I also have a horrible tendency of abusing this icon in smut threads or fics, mostly because it's pairing nonspecific, and still sexual.

The password is--err. The keywords are hang myself on what you repeat from Dismantle, Repair by Anberlin. This is my, "I am genuinely smiling and not smiling just to manipulate you," icon. Clearly, Sylar's Mohinder harem gets to see this icon the most. Everyone else? Not so much so.

Oh, could I be any more cliche on the keywords on this one? because i'm getting away with murder from Getting Away With Murder by Papa Roach. I've never used this icon, truth be told, but everyone needs a shooting people icon. Just because.
