Completely Sylar-centric. Don't mind me.
So, wow. I called a lot.
According to my personal canon, Sylar's father--or the man he thought was his father, Virginia Gray's husband--left when Sylar was fifteen because he couldn't deal with Virgina. Later, when Sylar was eighteen, Sylar found out that his father had died, and there was a closed casket funeral. That's how Sylar ended up with Gray & Sons. I've also mentioned him having an uncle that he very rarely saw, hence why it was Sons, plural, and not Son.
According to canon, Sylar's father--or the man he thought was his father, Virginia Gray's husband--left when Sylar was five because he couldn't deal with Virgina. There was no mention of a funeral, since clearly he's not dead, but since the funeral in my personal canon was closed casket, someone could have lied to him. Maybe it was Virgina and his father's lawyers, thinking it would be easier for him to have closure, thinking that his father was dead. Either way, that's how Sylar ended up with Gray & Sons. He also had an uncle who, apparently, he very rarely saw, since hi. His uncle is, apparently, really his father.
So, I got most of it right. Aside from the name and the dates, anyway.
My personal canon will remain the history I plan to use in all of my verses that are AU--most notably Choicesverse--since it's close enough to canon, anyway. My canon verse will follow canon strictly, as per usual. And for the two verses that I have that are diverted canon--the one with
capturedworlds and Castor and Polloxverse--well. I leave that up to the muns in those respective verses, if it ever comes up or becomes a problem.
There you go.
