It's funny. A week ago, if I'd posted this, how Sylar feels about Adam would be drastically different than it is, now. Then, he respected Adam, but he didn't particularly want to be the guy's friend. If they ended up as such, sure. Great. Whatever. If they didn't? No sweat off his back, so long as they kept their mutual sort of wary respect for one another.

Now, though, his opinions have changed drastically. Adam did for him, without having to. There was no debt to pay or favor to return. Adam just did it. It was a gift, and since Sylar's not the type to get gifted with things at random, let alone having someone offer to let him hack him up? Yeah. And it's strange, because he's of the mind that the world owes him, that he should be able to just take things, gift or not, so this really shouldn't be that big a deal, but it is.

So, at the moment, he's a little obsessed. Not in the way he's obsessed with Mohinder, of course, but in the way that he wants to be the guy's BFF. He wants to repay him, for what he did, and probably for the course of more than one major favor. The guy gave him the one thing he's coveted more than anything for a long time, dispelled his fear of death forever, so Adam's just earned himself an immortal pet serial killer.

Think, like, the relationship between a sire and a fledgling vampire, for lack of a less cliche descriptior.

2. *pets Sylar* Being Adam's friend can be a tricky thing--he might've been smart to not be sure a week ago. 'Cause now Adam's all, "HEE" and it generally spells badness for the world when Adam gets all "HEE." He's apparently always wanted an immortal pet serial killer like whoa, so they both got what they wanted. ;-D
